Fishing Lessons & Tuition
Fishing Lessons and Tuition is available at Spring Hill for All Levels, from beginners to the advanced.
Basic instruction will cover understanding the water and locating the fish, basic tackle, knots, casting methods and most importantly playing and catching your prize fish.
We have a number of professional fly fishing instructors including AAPGAI (Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors) and GAIA (Game Angling Instructors Association)

Summer Coarse Fishing Lesson
For families - 2024 at Springhill Trout Waters.
Cost: £75
Time: 2 hours
Start: 9.30 am
Available from: Thursday 1st August until Sunday 29th September.
Family size: 1 adult with up to 2 children or 2 adults with up to 3 children. There is no age restriction for children but the adults must be over 18 years old.
Lesson includes: 2 rods, bait and any other equipment needed.
An excellent introduction to fishing, in the beautiful kent countryside at Spring Hill Trout Waters.
Fishing for Common Rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus)
Catching a fish is pretty much guaranteed.
Lesson Aim: To help you gain confidence and a little experience covering the basics to get you fishing:
You will learn about:
- Rod set up.
- How to bait your hook.
- How to remove the hook from the mouth of the fish.
- Safety around water.
- As well as spotting kingfishers and learning about the surrounding nature.
